Sabrina and Alex traveled all the way from Germany with their son to formally tie the knot in sunny South Africa. Together with KapEvent they chose to do so with a mid-week intimate elopement, followed by photos and a picnic. A week later, they scheduled another photo shoot to get more iconic Cape Town sunset scenery, to fully capture this unforgettable milestone moment.

#1 BOSCHENDAL: CEREMONY
It was an honour to photograph their intimate ceremony held in Boschendal's secret rose garden, where tender words, forever vows, declarations of love, and promises were spoken softly. Laughs, and tearful eyes overflowing with tears of joy throughout. It's moments like these that remind me why I do what I do and why I love my job so much.
#2 BOSCHENDAL: PORTRAITS
Following the ceremony & champagne, we took a moment to photograph the newlyweds with their son around Boschendal's iconic and jaw-dropping landscapes. Nestled with a 360-degree view of dramatic mountains in every direction you look, and historic Cape Dutch buildings, these views are equally beloved by locals and international visitors. I was personally a bit worried by the harsh light, but we were lucky to be able to make the most of the natural beauty of Boschendal.
#3 MAIDEN'S COVE
Our Iconic Cape Town shoot started at the fan-favourite Maiden's Cove. It has the most postcard, picture-perfect scenery as you overlook Camps Bay beach & the Twelve Apostles mountain range. The combination of the blue ocean water with the dramatic mountains in the back is a Cape Town classic, and yet a very unforgettable, unique view - the perfect backdrop for your elopement photos.
#4 SIGNAL HILL
Signal Hill is one of my personal favourite sunset shoot locations. After 15 years, I'm still not tired of this incredible view. It's the perfect location for every international traveler desperate to have a photo with Table Mountain in the background. Signal Hill offers you views of the sun setting over the ocean, Cape Town CBD city lights at twilight, the iconic Table Mountain, as well as Lion's Head. What more could anyone ask for? The perfect location to end the perfect photo session of your Cape Town holiday/honeymoon/elopement.
